Build or integrate an app, platform or tool on the DigitalBits blockchain to join the hackathon

 

Choose a category & build any type of application:

1) Marketplaces: Build a platform, plugin or tool that connects buyers and sellers to a type of consumer digital asset. Example: NFT Marketplace

2) Ecosystem tools: Build tools that help stakeholders to navigate and access the DigitalBits network. Examples include: Bridges, On-chain data aggregation platforms, etc.


3) Consumer-friendly: Build a consumer-first platform that integrates the DigitalBits network and DigitalBits-based assets. Examples include: An online game that uses in-game digital currencies, a loyalty point or fan token generator, an ecommerce platform, a game using NFTs, and more.

4) Asset management: Build a tool or platform that allows users to manage their funds. Examples include: Web wallet, mobile wallet, lending and borrowing platforms and more.

 

Rules
  • Join the hackathon solo or create a team of up to 8 members.

  • A minimal viable product (MVP) or beta version must be submitted in order to be considered for 1st or 2nd place. 

  • A prototype must be submitted in order to be considered for 3rd, 4th or 5th place.

  • Prototypes are not accepted to be eligible for 1st or 2nd place

 

 

Requirements

Your submission must be in the English language and consist of:

  • Project overview document: Describe your project in full details along with links such as website, repositories and other necessary links. Fill your document with rich content to help the judges better understand your project. Be sure to Include which category your project falls under. 
  • Video: A short video (less than 3 minutes) demonstrating your project.

Also, please note:

Multiple submissions: You can submit multiple projects to the hackathon, as a part of the same team or a different team. However, you are eligible to win only a single prize.

Re-submission/editing of submissions: You can re-submit or edit your submission until the submission deadline. Your latest version of a submission before the deadline will be considered for judging.

Judging Criteria

  • Originality & Creativity
    How novel and innovative is the idea? Does it set out to do something unique or at least improve existing models?
  • Business Model & Feasibility
    What is the value proposition and how does it set out to differentiate itself? How will it capture value, new users and/or generate revenue? Is the project positioned to succeed?
  • Technicality & Design
    What is the tech like? Does it have comprehensive and efficient features? Is the code understandable and usable by others? Is it designed to scale?
  • Usability
    What is the user experience like? Is it clean, easy and intuitive?
  • Practicality & Use Case
    Is this something individuals would actually use? Is there a real world use case for this application?
